Research Centre

The research activity of The Center for History at Sciences Po is organized around six thematics areas :

History of social groups and the construction of identity (gender, youth, generations and intergenerational transmission)
Cultures and society; Art and society
War, violence and coming out of war
Questions of sale and geography (national identities and European dynamics, "Global History")
Political and cultural history of contemporary France

These thematic areas may comprise one or several research programs of projects.

The Center for Research in Recent History organizes various events such as seminars, workshops and meetings.

A doctoral seminar takes place weekly for Sciences Po PhD students in History.

The Center for History publishes collected papers from its seminars in collaboration with both commercial and institutional publishing houses.
